Since August, many places in South China, including Foshan and Dongguan, have introduced travel restrictions. Unexpectedly, these policies would stir up waves with one stone. In the past two days, some truck drivers in South China and Shenzhen Port have called for a collective stoppage from September 1 on the Internet and social platforms for a half-month break!
▼Some truck drivers in South China called for work stoppage
Remember the general strike of truck drivers in Shenzhen Port in 2014? At that time, the transportation of the entire Yantian Port was shut down for more than ten hours. Here, the cargo owners and forwarders in South China are also invited to pay close attention to the progress of this incident. We also appeal to the vast number of truck drivers to try to avoid strikes and express their demands through other channels.

On the same road on the same day, 3 people died in two truck accidents in Shenzhen
It is reported that the direct trigger for the South China trailer drivers to call for a strike is related to a series of truck accidents.
On August 10, three people were killed in two truck accidents at the Chuangye interchange section of National Highway 107. Some truck drivers attribute the causes of fatigue driving to the following two points:
1. Large trucks are restricted, affecting normal travel;
2. The problem of difficult parking has not been solved, and it is impossible to rest normally;
▼ At 4:59 on August 10, two vehicles collided on Baoan National Highway 107 in Shenzhen, killing one person
▼ On the same day and at the same place, at 5:40, the container truck rushed through the isolation zone and collided with the opposing truck, causing two deaths
It is reported that due to traffic restrictions in Dongguan, Foshan and other places in South China, many truck drivers have to take long detours. Some drivers even drive with their eyes closed in order to hurry!
1. On August 1, 2017, the Guangzhou South Ring Expressway implemented a traffic restriction at 7:00 am and 22:00 pm;
2. On August 1, 2017, the construction of S82 Foshan 1st Ring Road was banned from traffic control;
3. On August 7, 2017, the Wuyakou Bridge at the junction of Guangzhou and Foshan was closed for construction in the direction from Guangzhou to Guicheng;
4. On August 10, 2017, the 107 National Highway Dongguan Chang'an Yongtou Li Interchange will implement fully closed traffic control in the direction of Shenzhen;

***Recently, so many accidents are due to fatigue driving, we are driving tired, did the traffic police give us rest time? How much is the time limit on the South Ring Road? The driver drove with his eyes closed in order to rush over. We are running with our lives. Has anyone ever understood you? When we returned to the pier, we had to line up to return the cabinets. Fortunately, there were no parking spaces for the cabinets. You are tired and take a break on the road, or get out of the car to buy a fast food, and a ticket of 500-1000 comes.
Our drivers are also human beings, and we have to survive. How can we drive this car when there are traffic restrictions everywhere? Make it clear that the driver will not survive.
We have reached the time of life and death. We are under the dual leadership of countless units. No one has ever cared about our living conditions. Prices have risen for N years, and freight rates are still falling. It is necessary to comprehensively review...all kinds of unreasonable things. There is no parking anywhere, large trucks are restricted everywhere, and drivers are blamed for driving tired. Is there really no way to solve the problem of parking in Yantian?
Our drivers are too tired to do this every day. Starting from September 1st, we hope that the drivers will take a collective rest for half a month, and wait until the freight, traffic restrictions, and driver rest issues are dealt with before starting work.
Our drivers only want to have a safe place to sleep when we are tired, and not to be afraid of the traffic police while walking on the road. We also want to be with our family, and no one wants to die. If we agree, we will forward it together.
Many South China truck drivers are dissatisfied with the difficulty of parking. On social platforms, many South China truck drivers also expressed their dissatisfaction with the parking problem.
In fact, this is already an old-fashioned issue. Remember the strike of tow truck drivers in Shenzhen Port in 2014? At that time, it was also because of the difficulty of parking that the traffic police in Yantian along Mingzhu Road in Yantian Sancun and Yantian Road section fined trailers illegally parked on the side of the road, which aroused dissatisfaction among drivers. Some drivers blocked Mingzhu Road and the entrance and exit gates of Yantian Port, causing the entire Yantian Port to be shut down for more than ten hours .
In September 2015, at the first session of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress, Ding Hongzhe, deputy to the People's Congress of Yantian District and vice-chairman of the Yantian Port Automobile Transport Trade Union Federation, couldn't help saying: "Without our container truck drivers , there would be no prosperity of Yantian Port ." He said excitedly that the drivers are sometimes in the car 24 hours a day from picking up the boxes to delivering the goods and returning, but their income is only enough to support their families. Sometimes I was fined, and my living expenses for a month were not enough.

Congestion in Shanghai Outer Ring Tunnel caused complaints from truck drivers
Coincidentally, in Shanghai, truck drivers also expressed strong dissatisfaction with the recent frequent congestion of the Outer Ring Tunnel. It is reported that as the only way from the Outer Harbor to Puxi, the area near the Outer Ring Tunnel is filled with "parking lots" almost every day, and it has become normal to be blocked for 2 or 3 hours each time.
According to the analysis of industry insiders, the reason for the recent congestion in the outer ring tunnel is related to new policies such as the separation of large and small vehicles, and the restriction of large trucks on the traffic arteries at the exit of Tongji Road & Yunchuan Road . Some truck drivers also complained that in order to pay fines, the traffic police used auxiliary police to secretly take pictures on the bridge, and even used drones to take pictures in the air.
Truck drivers call for government regulation
Now the outer ring tunnel of large trucks is congested every day. The main reason is the separation of large and small vehicles. Every time I pass Zhangyang North Road to the outer ring tunnel and see the traffic jam, some people say it is the most beautiful scenery, but I feel very sad! I think This section of the road should not be diverted, and cars should be restricted, because there are many options for cars to cross the river, and freight vehicles can only take the best road in the outer ring tunnel. It takes ten to fifteen minutes at most for a car to detour through the Changjiang Road Tunnel, while it is normal for freight vehicles to be stuck in traffic for three to four hours.
There are also restrictions on large trucks at the Tongji Road exit and Yunchuan Road exit of the tunnel, which is also an important factor in congestion. Truck drivers count their time to pass through the tunnel. Most of the current warehouses are in Puxi, and the direction of Jiangsu to Shanghai also passes through Puxi, so the driver's time is simply out of control.
I feel that the real job of the traffic police in Shanghai is not to direct traffic, but to increase income by fines. In order to fine money, the auxiliary police are used to secretly take pictures on the Shuangjiang Road Bridge, and even use drones to capture them in the air. They do everything they can. Comrades in the traffic police: Don’t you feel guilty in your conscience for doing this? Have you ever heard the voice of a truck driver? Have you made any plans and contributions to ease the traffic in Shanghai? I hope that peers with the same views will forward it and convey it to relevant departments to solve the current serious congestion problem in the truck logistics industry.
