CMA CGM recently announced that it will open four more Far East-South American west coast/Caribbean routes (NEW ACSA1, NEW ACSA2, NEW ACSA3 and PEX2) at the end of this month, in order to enhance the competitiveness of the Asian and South American markets.
According to CMA CGM, the above four routes will cover 29 ports in Asia, the Caribbean and South America, and can provide shippers with faster transit time.
The NEW ACSA1 route has been in operation today (March 24). The port of call is Keelung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Manzanillo, Callao, Iquique, Angamos, Valparaiso.
The NEW ACSA2 route will cover ports on the west coast of Mexico and South America, while relying on CMA CGM’s feeder transportation to connect markets in Central America, southern Peru and northern Chile. The route is scheduled to start operation on March 27, and the port of call is Busan, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shekou, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Busan, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buvenaventura , Callao, San Antonio, Coronel, Lilque, Angamos, Callao, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo.
The NEW ACSA3 route was operated yesterday (March 23), which is characterized by the strengthening of direct flights between ports in northern China and ports in Ecuador. The port of call of this route is Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Yokohama, Ensenada, Manzanillo, Lhazaro Cardenas, Balboa, Buvenaventura, Guayaquil, Balboa Boya, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo, Ensenada, Yokohama, Busan, Qingdao.
The PEX2 route will be operated tomorrow (March 25), and the port of call is Singapore, Shekou, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Ensenada, Manzanillo (Mexico), Manzanillo (Panama), Cartagena, Kingston, Caucedo.
At the same time, CMA CGM suspended the ACSA5 route.
